At Ouro Peptides, “HPLC Verified” is not a marketing claim β it’s a process. This page documents the quality-control standards every batch of research peptide we supply is held to, and why those standards matter for the integrity of your work.
The three documents we provide for every batch
Every order ships with a batch-specific Certificate of Analysis containing three measurements:
- HPLC purity β High-Performance Liquid Chromatography quantifies what proportion of the material in the vial is the intended peptide versus everything else (truncated sequences, oxidation products, residual reagents). We target β₯98% for most products and never ship anything below 95%.
- Mass spectrometry identity confirmation β Verifies the molecular weight of the material matches the theoretical mass of the intended sequence, typically within 1 Dalton for a small peptide. This confirms what the molecule is, not just how pure it is.
- Counter-ion content for peptides supplied as trifluoroacetate (TFA) or acetate salts, where applicable.
For a deeper explanation of what these tests mean in practice, see our companion articles on what HPLC verification means and how to read a Certificate of Analysis.
Third-party analysis β no marking our own homework
The HPLC and MS data on every Certificate we issue comes from an independent third-party analytical laboratory, not from a captive in-house QC bench. The reason is simple: a manufacturer who only tests their own product has both the means and the motive to publish convenient numbers. Independent testing removes that conflict.
The testing laboratory and analyst are named on every Certificate, so the chain of custody is traceable from synthesis to your bench.
Why batch-by-batch testing matters
Peptide synthesis is sensitive to many variables β resin loading, deprotection efficiency, coupling time, cleavage cocktail composition, and storage between steps. Two batches of the same sequence can differ in purity by several percentage points. A single Certificate that covers an entire production run, or worse, an entire product line, does not give you the data you need to reproduce an experiment six months later.
This is why every batch we supply receives its own analysis and its own Certificate, with the batch or lot number printed on both the vial and the documentation.
Storage, shipping, and tamper-evident packaging
Analytical purity at the point of synthesis only matters if the product reaches you in the same state. Our handling chain:
- Cold-chain storage at the synthesis facility (β20 Β°C or colder) for lyophilized inventory awaiting dispatch.
- Insulated shipping for orders to climates or shipping durations that warrant it.
- Tamper-evident packaging on every shipment so it’s immediately obvious whether the vial has been disturbed in transit.
- Tracked delivery with a tracking link emailed at dispatch.
If anything about the packaging or appearance of your shipment looks off, take photographs before opening it and contact us using the chat bubble or our Contact form.
What we will not do
A complete picture of our quality stance includes what we will not do:
- We do not sell research peptides that have not been independently tested.
- We do not provide dosing, concentration, or human-use guidance β our products are for in-vitro research use only.
- We do not knowingly ship to addresses outside our supported destinations or to anyone unable to confirm they are 18+.
- We do not re-issue a Certificate from one batch as documentation for another batch.
Questions on a specific batch?
If you need the Certificate for a batch you have received β or want to see a Certificate before purchase β use the chat bubble at the bottom of any page, or our Contact form. Routine questions are usually faster on chat.
For in-vitro research use only. Not for human or veterinary consumption.
